Meet Dr. Lynn Bellmore

Medicine, with the whole person in mind.

I’m a dietitian-turned-physician dedicated to helping people better understand their health and take an active role in their care. My approach is whole-person and highly individualized, with a focus on uncovering and addressing the underlying factors contributing to symptoms that may have persisted for years and significantly affected quality of life.

I partner with each patient to develop a thoughtful, personalized plan that may include prescription therapies, supplements, nutrition, movement, mind-body practices, and other evidence-based lifestyle and integrative approaches — always guided by your individual needs, values, and goals.

My work extends beyond the exam room. I’m passionate about advancing a model of medicine that sees the whole person — not simply a diagnosis, a set of lab values, or vital signs. Through patient and clinician education, community programs, and collaboration with research groups, I work to bring whole-person thinking into healthcare and help improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

Training and Expertise

I’m board-certified in Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine, with additional training and experience in nutrition, preventive medicine, mind-body medicine, exercise, and chronic disease management. Together, these disciplines shape the whole-person approach I bring to my work.

I also practice from a Health at Every Size® (HAES®) perspective, recognizing the complexity of the relationship between weight and health and the very real effects that weight stigma and bias can have on both physical and emotional well-being.

Over the past five years, a particular focus of my work has become multisystem complex chronic illness, including ME/CFS, POTS, MCAS, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), and Long COVID. These conditions can profoundly affect a person’s health and quality of life, yet they remain poorly understood and frequently overlooked within traditional healthcare settings.

I’m passionate about helping change that — through clinical care as well as patient and clinician education, community programs, and The Whole Picture, my newsletter exploring complex chronic illness and whole-person health.

Beyond the Exam Room

My commitment to health and well-being extends beyond my clinical work. I’ve been actively involved in medical education throughout my career, including residency teaching and physician wellness initiatives. From 2024-2026, I served on the board of Inspired IM, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to integrative medicine and education, and was co-course director for their 2025 cIMC conference.

I’m also a strong believer in the role that movement, time outdoors, and community can play in our well-being. I have served on the board of the Fort Collins Running Club since 2022 and created the Youth Running Committee, for which I am currently the chair. We work to create opportunities for young people to discover the joy of movement and develop a positive, lifelong relationship with physical activity.

Outside of medicine, life is wonderfully full. My partner and I have a blended family of seven with five kids who love keeping us active. In the winter, we spend most of our free time at hockey and skating rinks. The rest of the year, we love exploring the outdoors through camping and road trips, slowly working our way through the National Park Passport book along the way.

At home, life revolves around our little urban farmstead, complete with 3 dogs, 2 cats, 5 chickens, a vegetable garden, and a xeriscaped yard. And when I can find the time, you’ll usually find me training for a marathon or cycling up a mountain, often chasing an infamous strava crown.
